Prayer at Decatur First

Everyone needs someone to listen and understand. We believe in the power of intercessory prayer. While recognizing every prayer may not be answered the way we ask or want, still it is our unshakable conviction prayer is powerful. God invites us to seek Him in prayer regarding anything. Through prayer, circumstances are often changed. Even when this doesn't happen, our hearts are changed, and when our hearts are changed, our situations can change.

Intercessory prayers call forth God's power; and when God's power enters, a new situation is always created. If you are in need of prayer support, email

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we
ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.
Romans 8:26

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
