Youth Ministry Intern

Primary responsibilities

  • Sunday School: Work with youth staff to plan and implement lessons

  • Sunday Night Youth: Build relationships with students and journey with them in their walk

  • Assist with Wednesday night youth check-in and games at the monthly Church Dinner

  • Regularly attend and participate in Sunday worship at Decatur First UMC

  • Serve as liturgist for worship services at least twice per semester

  • Retreats: Attend retreats and help with planning and implementing programming

Preschool Teacher

Primary Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing an educational program in keeping with the school's philosophy,
    goals and curriculum

  • Attending monthly staff meetings, age-level meetings, in-service training, parent programs
    and other professional meetings as scheduled

  • Create lesson plans with Co-Lead Teachers and other staff helping with class. Must be able to collaborate with other teachers to support the overall success of the preschool
