Lenten Devotional Booklets
Lent is a the season of preparation for Easter. This season is marked by additional faith practices, like prayer, meditation, acts of service or charity, or fasting. You're invited to join others at Decatur First in a practice of daily prayer and reflection using the "Henri Matisse and the Colors of Lent" Devotional booklets. Printed versions are available to pick up on the altar rails.
Collecting Hard to Recycle Materials for Lent
Starting Ash Wednesday (2/18) and all through Lent, the congregation is invited to bring old DVDs, CDs, curling irons and blow dryers, and dead batteries for the Centers for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM). The collection site is our very own "Donation Station" in the gymnasium lobby. Bins are clearly marked. We will collect these items through Easter. Contact Stewart Voegtlin, svoegtlin@decaturfirst.org, for more info.

We're headed from the desert to the slopes for this year's Vacation Bible School: Snowball Mountain Challenge! From Monday, June 8th to Friday, June 12th (9am-noon), our rising kindergarten through 6th graders—with the help of youth and adult volunteers—will move between rotations like crafts, music, science, story, and recreation as they learn about the strength which only God can give.
Bring Vacation Bible School to life! Whether you can help with preparation ahead of time, join us for the whole week, or just pop in for a few days, we would love your help.
