Rick Gillig
Rick recently retired from the CDC where he managed teams of scientists evaluating the public health impacts of exposures to toxic chemicals and advising health and regulatory agencies and communities on needed health protective measures. Since retirement Rick has been an active volunteer at both the Decatur Cooperative Ministry (DCM) and the Decatur Area Emergency Assistance Ministry (DEAM). He currently chairs the Executive Coordinating Council of DEAM and is a member of DCM’s Executive Board. Rick and his wife Lisa have two grown children, Paul and Michelle, have been members of DFUMC for over 20 years and are active members of the Debtor’s Sunday School Class.
