Communications Director

Andie Ashe is DFUMC's Communications Director and hates writing in the third person. I came to Decatur First after teaching for five years at a small private school. I have a background in fine arts and taught art and AP psychology there, but was looking for a change post-pandemic. Having grown up in a United Methodist household, I was thrilled to join the Decatur First team in a creative capacity. I also work part-time at Kingswood Church in Dunwoordy in the same role of Communications Director. On a personal note, I sell my lost-wax cast jewelry on the side at andieashe.com, got married in October of 2023 to a tall Bosnian man named Theo, and love spicy food and expensive candles.
